Why I offered these sessions

Over the past year, I’ve found myself reflecting more and more on just how important photographs really are.

Not the perfectly posed kind.

Not the ones saved for “special occasions.”

But the real moments. The fleeting seasons. The little details that quietly become memories before we even realise it.

As a photographer, I’ve had the privilege of stepping into so many people’s lives and capturing moments that matter deeply to them. Families growing. Babies arriving. Children changing. Couples celebrating milestones. Quiet moments that become priceless over time.

And as a mum myself — to three little miracles who defied all the odds to be here — I understand that feeling more than ever.

This past year has been a difficult one in many ways. Between ongoing health struggles with one of my triplets, and now facing uncertainty with another, life has reminded me how fragile and precious these seasons can be.

It’s also reminded me how easy it is for photos to become something people put off.

Because life is expensive.

Because there’s always something else that feels more urgent.

Because sometimes surviving the season you’re in is enough on its own.

And honestly? I get that.

That’s why I decided to offer something a little different this May.

Pay What You Can Mini Sessions.

Not as a marketing strategy.

Not because I don’t value my work.

But because I genuinely believe everyone deserves the chance to preserve these moments in a way that feels financially manageable for them.

There is no expectation.

No judgement.

No “right” amount.

Just an opportunity to step in front of the camera and capture your life exactly as it is right now.

Whether that’s:

your children as they are in this exact season,

your family together,

or simply photos of yourself that you’ll one day be grateful to have.

These sessions are relaxed, natural, and guided gently throughout. You don’t need to know how to pose or arrive perfectly put together. The goal is simply to create meaningful images that feel like you.
